Can you remember how you felt when you first arrived at Mount Carmel?
I was terrified but excited, I knew it was the beginning of my new life .

What are your overarching memories of being in treatment for your addiction?
I remember feeling safe and relieved that I was getting the help that I needed.
I was amazed at how much I learnt about myself, some things I liked some things I did not ! but everything helped me grow and heal.

How has recovery impacted on your life?
My life has changed completely for the better in every way imaginable, every area of my life has improved immeasurably. Also I have learnt how to cope with all the difficulties and problems that can arise as I go along. My relationship with my family is now full of love and trust. I am finally financially secure, I have a new found confidence and hope for the future. On the whole it was a life changing experience.

What advice would you give to someone considering treatment for addiction?
