Izi's visit to Ebony Horse club

This Friday I went to visit Ebony Horse Club in Brixton. Yes, there is a horse riding club in Brixton! Ebony is a community riding centre running programmes for young people helping them to "learn new skills, develop aspirations and take on new responsibilities". I visited to learn how Mount Carmel and Ebony might be able to work together to support the teenage children of our current clients and graduates.

I am hoping to get the Mount Carmel Youth Group un and running again. The group will run twice a month and is for young people aged 11-16.  One aim of mine is to get the group to attend Ebony and perhaps in time, to participate in a six week course with them. This would include manual tasks such as mucking out, feeding the horses, stacking hay, cleaning equipment and riding and interacting with the horses. If you think this might be something that your child would enjoy, please get in touch with me.

You can call on: 020 8769 7674

Or email us at: info@mountcarmel.org.uk

I look forward to hearing from you and your child!
